Lee & Sons
Southeast Asian Antiques
The Thanapoomikul family opened its first antique shop in China in 1940. It was headed by the great grandfather of today’s owner of Lee & Sons. As the passion and expertise of Mr Thanapoomikul grew, his position as a leading voice in the antique market was assured.
To build on the company's success, Mr Ha Hour Thanapoomikul created Capital Antique in Bangkok, Thailand, in 1965. Ms Lee Thanapoomikul established Gallery d’Art in the same city in 1978, exporting Southeast Asian art and antiques to all corners of the world.
In 1993, Ms Thanapoomikul further strengthened her credentials with the opening of the Asie Antique Gallery in the prestigious Boulevard Saint Germain in Paris, France. With the patronage of some of the most demanding collectors in Europe, Asie Antique has become renowned as one of the biggest antique dealers on the continent.
Lee & Sons is now in Central, Hong Kong, as the family's fourth generation expands its heritage in the world of Southeast Asian antiques. Each piece is curated by Ms Thanapoomikul, a life member of the Syndicat National des Antiquaires. This is an unmissable place for lovers and collectors of art and antiquities everywhere.
